A Little Bit of Italy this side of the Channel
Don't let the unassuming appearance of this place fool you. Their food is excellent, and you're talking to a person who has been to more than her fair share of Italian restaurants in London and Italy. It's inexpensive as such, and when considering the quality of the food you are served it's positively cheap!
I had one of my favourite to start - Calamari alla Siciliana, and then Seabass, which wasn't on the menu, but it helps to know people and be charming! (Speaking italian to them also made them feel like I was one of them, so they were extra sweet).
And here's what my father had, I Love seafood!
I absolutely love this place. The people are so so friendly and thanks to my parents who have become regulars I can always be assured a table and recommendations that aren't even on the menu! I am now known there as the 'Contessina' - can you see why I love going there?
If you come here you have to get the Gnocchi! All the waiters will agree with me.
You can even pop in here for a full english breakfast that will most certainly keep you from snoring in church. The army barracks are just around the corner so they're also used to feeding hungry men with bottomless stomachs
