L'Insalateria

My yummy guilt-free lunch:

It’s a DIY salad bar, I think I’m in heaven. I would have loved to take a picture of the extensive selection of ingredients, but the place was quite fancy and I felt I couldn’t. They had all you could want, seafood, veg in all its forms, chickpeas, black rice, artichokes, mozzarella, 6 different types of   salad leaves, and the list goes on. Here are some pictures I nabbed from the internet though:

They also have a fruit section to the side that I got a bit carried away in...

 Happy and Healthy! Buon appetito!

Also a great place to people watch. The Italian yummy mummys are endlessly amusing. Italian “ladies who lunch” are a step above the english, and those who chose to go the Insalateria located in one of Milan’s fanciest hotels are their own subset. (Yes, I am aware of the hypocrisy of this, but I am not a mummy and I am seeing this as an entirely educational experience, anthropologically etc. of course, not just as a source of my own amusement and a chance to exercise my sarcasm…)
