Bandol sur Mer (Mitte)

WHAT a find! I have discovered an amazing website that is absolutely excellent with its restaurant recommendations: Most of them are rather pricey, but that's what makes them so perfect for parents coming to visit! Almost guaranteed quality and I don't have to bring up the cashish to foot the bill myself. Winning!

I had heard about a couple times but didn’t realise it was quite such a big deal till I was there. Bandol sur Mer was tiny but a very specialised French gourmet restaurant with a spectacular 6 course tasting menu and wine pairings for each. An experience for the sense, and a less enjoyable one for the wallet, so if you’re not lucky enough to have your parents in town or a very generous date, try out its little brother 3 Minute sur Mer.

My partners actually managed to walk past this place twice before finding it because it looks so unassuming and it's so small. I doubt they can serve more than 20 people in one evening, and the option of two sittings is unlikely as the food is so meticulously prepared that you will be there for a while, especially if you opt for the tasting menu as we did.

Just look at these dishes. The flavour combinations were out of this world and the meat could not have been cooked more perfectly. I still have dreams about the duck breast.
